  • Pure, expanded graphite yarn (High temperature and chemical resistance)
  • When compressed, very dense packing (Low leakage rates)
  • Supplied in rolls and can replace die-formed rings of graphite tape (Reduction in the inventory needed to cover a range of valve sizes)
  • Does not contain Inconel® wire - will not score shaft (Can also be used in dynamic applications)

KOMBILON 6742

Rotary applications and agitators
  • Slow moving pumps, mixers and agitators with some shaft deflection
  • For pumping alkalis, solvents, alcohols, ketones, esters, oils, acids, hot water, boiler alkalies, brine, and ammonia. Exceptions: heavily oxidising acids
Features & Benefits:
  • The PTFE and carbon yarns offer compatibility to a broad range of chemicals (Chemical resistance of graphite or carbon packings at lower cost)
  • The carbon fibres give the packing excellent resilience (Provides good seal in slow pumps and agitators that have some shaft deflection)
  • Good elasticity and thermal conductivity of carbon yarns (Packing can be compressed to achieve low leakage rates)
  • Very low coefficient of friction gives less heat build-up (Longer life, especially at higher speeds)
